Care Without Compromise
The modern healthcare system often gets between you and your doctor, with the average doctor spending just 7 minutes with each patient. The rest is consumed by insurance restrictions, rushed visits, and treatment decisions driven by coverage rather than compassion. At Pathways Foot & Ankle, we've chosen a different path. By stepping outside the traditional insurance model, we've removed the barriers that compromise care. No referrals needed. No surprise bills. No waiting weeks for authorizations. No being treated like a number. Just honest, individualized care from a specialist who has the time to listen, the expertise to heal, and the freedom to put you first.

Functional Medicine
Foot problems often stem from whole-body inflammation, metabolic issues, or nutritional deficiencies. Functional medicine is a holistic approach that treats the root cause — not just symptoms.
Second Opinions
Considering surgery or a major treatment and want to make sure it's the right path? A second opinion can give you peace of mind and confidence in your next step. Dr. Clifford provides honest, expert assessments — no pressure, no rush.
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Painless, radiation-free imaging of tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Ideal for diagnosing plantar fasciitis, tendon tears, neuromas, and cysts.
Custom Orthotics
Prescription devices made specifically for your feet. Correct your unique biomechanics, relieve pressure points, and prevent reinjury.
Shockwave Therapy
Non-invasive sound waves stimulate healing for plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, neuromas, nerve pain, nonunions, and Achilles tendinitis. No needles, no downtime.
Toenail Removal
Safe in-office removal for infected, ingrown, thickened, or painful nails. Quick procedure that can be made permanent.
Non-Surgical Ingrown Toenail Treatment
Noninvasive nail brace technology gently lifts and guides the nail to grow correctly without surgery. Painless, no needles, no downtime.
Cortisone Injections
Powerful anti-inflammatory shot for arthritis, tendinitis, and plantar fasciitis. Relief begins within days and lasts weeks to months.
Regenerative Injection Therapy
Reduces inflammation while healing, not just masking symptoms. Ideal for chronic tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, and nerve pain.
Laser Therapy for Toenail Fungus
Specialized laser energy safely heats and destroys toenail fungus without damaging the surrounding skin or nail. The treatment is painless, requires no needles or anesthesia, and has no downtime.
Routine Nail and Callus Care
Medical assessment and treatment of thick, fungal, or deformed nails and painful calluses to restore comfort and mobility. Ideal for diabetics and seniors.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Small incisions (less than 1 cm) correct bunions, hammertoes, and neuromas. Less pain, faster recovery, and no large scars.
Craig E. Clifford, DPM, MHA
Dr. Clifford completed his residency training at the Franciscan Foot and Ankle Institute in Washington, where he later served as Director of Residency Training. During his teaching tenure, he received multiple honors including Clinician of the Year, Instructor of the Year, and Outstanding Teaching Award. In 2020, he was named Physician of the Year by the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association.
Though highly trained in advanced surgical techniques, Dr. Clifford came to recognize that most foot and ankle surgery can be avoided with appropriate conservative care. In 2022, he left his successful high-volume surgical practice to focus on expanding patient access to cutting-edge nonsurgical treatment—though he continues to perform surgery when necessary, utilizing the latest advancements in minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Clifford understands that there is no "one size fits all" solution in medicine, and every patient deserves an individualized, evidence-based approach, not a generic treatment plan.
